The strength characteristic of the valve is the ability of the valve to withstand the pressure of the medium. The valve is a mechanical product that bears the internal pressure of the hydraulic solenoid valve, so it must have sufficient strength and rigidity to ensure that it will not crack or deform during long-term use.
Valve sealing performance refers to the ability of each sealing part of the valve to prevent medium leakage. The fire solenoid valve is the most important technical performance index for the valve produced by the manufacturer of the valve. The valve has three sealing parts: the contact between the opening and closing part and the two sealing parts of the valve seat; the connection between the packing and the valve stem and stuffing box; the connection between the valve body and the bonnet. Leakage in the previous place is called internal leakage, that is, it is usually said to be closed very tightly, which will affect the ability of the valve to cut off the medium.
For shut-off valves, internal leakage is not allowed. The latter leakage is called external leakage, that is, the medium leaks from the inside of the valve to the outside of the valve. Leakage can cause material loss, pollute the environment, and even cause accidents in serious cases. For flammable, explosive or radioactive media, leakage is not allowed, so the valve must have reliable sealing performance.
After the medium flows through the valve, pressure loss (the pressure difference between the front and rear of the valve) will occur. That is to say, the valve has a certain resistance to the flow of the medium. In order to overcome the resistance of the medium to the valve, a certain amount of energy is consumed. Considering energy saving, in the design and manufacture of the valve, the resistance of the valve to the flowing medium should be reduced as much as possible.
